I was reminded by a friend the other day that it was time for an update to the blog. I agree and am happy to say that I finally have my computer back after about six weeks of sending it in for repair and getting it back unfixed. Gotta love HP tech support blah! Anyway, now that I've got my computer back I can keep up on things like updating pictures and my blog.
Our family is adjusting to our new member. McKenzie has a good schedule and has been a lot easier to get to bed most nights. She takes two nice long naps during the day and sleeps at least six hours at night before waking to nurse and then is back down until eight thirty. She got her first cold at eight weeks just like Jonah did when he was an infant, but unlike Jonah she didn't end up in the hospital and is now all cleared up and feeling great. She weight about 13.5 and continues to grow. She's pretty mellow and loves to talk to me when her brother isn't around.
Jonah has really grown to love his little sister. He loves to get her up in the morning and tried to play ball with her, but usually ends up making her scream when he hits her in the head with the ball! We've had some nice sunny days so he's been able to go to the park and play outside. We can't wait for summer. He has started to combine words and has been a lot clearer in the words he uses. He watches The Imagination Movers on Disney channel and learns a lot of new words and concepts.
We got a fun new toy with our tax return. We were going to get a quality sound system, but couldn't pass up the deal on a plasma t.v. I think that's what it is. We ended up switching to Dish and got the HD package and it's saving us $10 a month and we get all but two of the channels we had before. Roland converted our tall entertainment center into a short media center. It was great not to have to spend the money for a new one and it still matches our décor. Pretty cool.
That's what we've been up to lately. Roland's mother has been visiting for the last week and it's been so nice to have someone to visit with during the day. I'm sad to see her go, but I'm glad she loves her home. I'll try to remember to update things sooner, but there's not always a lot to say.

Sorry it's been so long--it's been a long winter for us too. It keeps snowing, and we had strep, then allergies. Luka is putting together a box of projects she made for Jonah. I'll try to get some pictures of us up somewhere soon. Love, Leslie & Luka
