We just got home from Ashland's fireworks show and both kids are sleeping soundly. It was a great day of fun, food and lots of sun. We started the morning with the Central Point parade and street fair. After naps, we went swimming at our friend's club house and the water was perfect. Then into Ashland for playing on the lawn with the kids and a lovely fireworks show. Whew, what a day.
It was in the upper 90's today and it felt like 105! Yuck. The swimming was very refreshing and Mickey and Jonah loved the water. I'm so happy they both had a great time. Both kids were very good today and had so much fun inspite of our busy schedule. Jonah was quite timid around the fireworks we set off and after just a few, he told us he was going back and turned around and left! When the big fireworks show started, he loved it. He clapped and said 'yeah' each time one went off. We all snuggled up on our blanket, both kids in jammies, and watched the show. Mickey fell asleep in my arms (a rare occurrence) and even though Jonah was exhausted, he was in good spirits. I guess we'll hang on to all of our fireworks for next year!

Looks like you guys had a great time! Love their outfits! And Mickey is looking so much like Jonah to me these days. Happy 4th, er, 6th ;0)
